No longer my babies!

In three days Hannah will be off to school. I have not really thought about it. But when I do my chest gets a bit tight. I know that she will be perfectly fine. I think it is just due to the safety issue. She will be away from me from 8:30 to 2:30 Monday to Friday. She is not even five yet. Oh, I know she will make tons of friends and have loads of fun. And will learn lots. And it will be a whole new adventure for us as parents as well. Lots of new things!
Justin will be going to preschool on September 15th. I do think he is ready. But again he will be a young three walking in the doors. NOT even three really.Three that week. I was wishy washy about enrolling him due to this. And the fact that at the time he was rebounding in the toilet training area. But he sure has come along way in just a few weeks. He is such a big boy and keeps telling us that too.I am soo proud of him.
Actually I am sooo proud of both of myt kids. I love them to peices! I truly do. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball but you hit as hard as you can I guess. LMAO!!

It's been awhile...

Well, it is now August and it has been busy for us. Hannah has been in two Summer camps so far and goes to another next week and the week after. She is also in out door Soccer twice a week for an hour. She seems to really enjoy it. Get frustrated when another player takes the ball from her and she pays attention to how many goals she gets as well. I love to watch her play.
Justin is doing well with potty training. He still has his accidents mind you. So I am a bit concerned if he will be ready to go to preschool in September. I am sure gonna try. He might just surprise me like his older sister did. He will be going to gymnastics in September and am looking forward to seeing how he likes it. As well as playing in "little kickers". It's the best when they turn three as that's when all the fun stuff starts.
It has been a busy Summer here.We have been trying to take the kids out and do things with them. We took them across on the ferry this weekend and had lunch in Downtown Halifax. We took them to Public Gardens a few weeks ago. We still plan on taking them to the Truro Exhibition at the end of this month.
Robin has just celebrated his 38th Birthday last Sunday. I bought him a "reel mower". Seem pretty neat. I might even be able to mow the lawn now.Yeah!!
Our 6th Anniversary is coming up. It would be be nice to go out but not sure how that will work out. We are going out this weekend and have Michelle coming over to babysit both Friday night and Saturday night. Friday Robin's work is going out and Sunday Andrew Kent ( my cousin) is getting married. It'll be nice to get out even though I feel guilty being away from the kids two nights in a row!
So that is all that is new here. I'll try and write soon.I love to write things dwon. So much fun!!!

My life is going to change from here on out!

Both kids wake up at 7 am. Sometimes either one will wake up a bit earlier than that but neither is allowed out of their rooms till 7am. Hannah will come into our room at exactly 7:01 to ask for the TV on. Then Justin will start banging on his door wanting out. Well when you get both kids in one room with out us. All hell breaks loose! House is destroyed and there is yelling and fights!
When I woke up this AM I found pen marks on my WALLS! I was sooo mad. I have finally come to the conclusion that I need to get up with the kids at 7AM. Not sure HOW I am going to do this and make it through the day. I do know Other Moms do this but I have been able to trust my kids. Well Hannah anyways. She would always get up in the past and be sooo good by herself. My house would not be destroyed! She was great being by herself. But now that Jusitn gets up I can not trust either one!
So yes, that is one change in my life. ANd now that I am getting up so early I need to start cleaning the house up. I need to get off this computer and do things around the house. I need to start drinking water and get my energy up so I can get off my ass and do things! Sigh!!

My poor Justin!

Usually in the AMs Justin would bang on his door telling me he is up and wants out of his room (we close his door at night.) But this am he didn't do this at all. Never heard a peep from him. So at 8:00 I went in to see him and there he was laying on his bed awake. That is not my boy!! The way his face was was just not right. Us Mom's know their kids and know when something is wrong. I gave him his puffers as I was told to do. Then at 10:30 it seemed he was having problems.So I gave him another shot.I went in to check on him again and it seemed his lips were a bit blue (in my opinion--- hard to tell). So Hubby and I decided to take him to the hospital.We get there and they check his oxygen level and it's fine. That's good.But they gave him FIVE puffs of a puffer!!! They gave one puff and waited for him to breath that in (about 10 breaths) then shot another one. Till they reached five!! Then they gave him oral steroid too. Then they sent us home. So now I have to give him one puffer twice a day. And another puffer every four hours for at least two days (or when ever needed). So yup that is my life right now. Thankfully he was not admitted this time around and we can get this fixed sooner than later! Wish us luck!

Hannah and her play date.

Hannah had one of her friends over for a play date yesterday. Her name is Nirah and they are best buds in Preschool. Oh they had soo much fun together. Nirah came over after school. Her Mom picked her up and drove her over here. I made lunch for the three of them. Nothing too specail. Just frozen pizzas and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Home made none the less! They had popcorn for a mid afternoon snack too!
The girls were all over the place. First they checked out Hannah's room. Then they went downstairs and outside, in the living room. Even Played in Justin's room for a bit. Then back outside for some more fun. They were busy all afternoon.
When school was let out at 3:00 I took them and Justin to the school playground. They had a blast. They ran around. Up and down the slides. Then went and ran the soccer field at least twice!
We finally came home and they played some more!
Poor Justin was just a bit bored I think as the girls kind of ignored him. Oh well I am sure when he gets a bit older that he will get play dates too.
When Nirah's Dad came and got her at 5:00 she did not want to leave. It seemed she had as much fun as Hannah did!!
Hannah was soo tired today after her big day yesterday. I cought her dozing in a chair watching TV!! Too funny. Couldn't help but laugh at that!
I had soo much fun watching these two friends play!! I hope to get them together again very soon!!

My Baby is off to school in FOUR months!!

Come September my life will change. Hannah will be in school for five hours a day, five days a week! Justin will be in preschool come September as well. He will be there two days a week for two and a half hours. So I will lots of spare time on my hands. And I will love it. I am sure I will be lost for a bit. But you know what? I will get used to it pretty quickly! And I will LOVE it!
I can not believe that my baby girl will be off to school in four months. It blows my mind! I think, come September our lives will change a great deal!
Hannah will be a young student as she will still be four.She will be five in November. But I think she is ready to go.
She is to get her five year needle at the end of this month. Not too sure how that will go down. She has had blood tests done over the last few years but her last needle was when she was a baby. She was a bit difficult getting her blood t done. So I am worried about how this will go. Thankfully Robin has taken that day off.
Then the beginning of June is going to be a busy time. Her orientation is in June.. She will be going to school from 9:00 to 11:00 that day to see what it's all about. We, her parents go the same time for our orientation as well. I am looking forward to this. Hubby will be coming too.
Then June 12th is her last day of preschool and her graduation day! And again Robin will be coming. This is one day I will sure to get teary eyed. I will be a very proud Momma for sure!

Justin has been making progress!

When we have been home Justin is either in Underwear or running around Naked. He is doing awesome with using the potty!
Just the other day he has learned to pull down his undies if he needs to go pee. And one time when he was naked he had a poop on the potty! He hardly ever has any accidents.
This afternoon he is running around naked and he came to me saying "poop" so I put him on and he pooped! His second time!!! Yeah for Justin.
I am a very proud Momma for sure.
I see Preschool in his near future. If he keeps this up. I am a bit relieved let me tell you.
Hannah is doing well. Learning to write new words every day. Now she can write Food,cat,dog,two,too,to,pig. Daddy has been teaching her a new word each night when he reads stories to her.
Yesterday she actually got sick. Totally not expecting that at all. Had no warning. Had an awful mess to clean up as well as a very upset little girl to tend to. No fun at all. Usually when this happens, for some reason Robin is home. Not sure how exactly the kids work this out but they do. I am glad too! They don't get sick unless it's at night OR on weekends.
I feel soo useless when the kids get sick. There is nothing we,as a Mom can do. We can only hug them and tell them everything will be ok. Nothing else we can do.
I am going to an all day Scrap booking workshop tomorrow. 8:30am to 4:30pm. I am looking forward to it. I need time to myself and this is my time. Poor Hannah has dance class on Saturdays and my Scarpbooking always fall on this day too. I think me and Robin have wroked it out that he will drive me to the workshop before he takes Hannah to dance class. He has never done this before and just is not used to taking the kids out alone. It will sure be a new adventure for him. But I have all the confidence in him. And he will be fine!

I have started walking again.

I have started walking again. It all began last Monday and have gone everyday except Thursday. But last night I went for an extra long walk so I think that makes up for Thursday.
I take Robin's I.POD with me. And I have a great time. I am by myself with tunes on and just enjoying listening to music and reminiscing about my day that I just had.
If anyone knew me way back when, Knows that I used to walk all the time. I was known as "the girl with the headphones"! I loved it. I would wake up early and go for a walk. Go back to bed only to wake up and go. I lived to walk. Some might call it boredom. But I sure did enjoy it.
Since I have had kids and a hubby I have not been walking as much as I used too. Things at home here keep me busy.
I am hoping this gets me in the swings of thing to loose weight and look after myself better.

I made up Justin's mind today!

I have been trying to potty train Justin for awhile now. He is great if he is nude. He will run right to the potty if he needs to go. But the undies thing is a bit of a challenge. He has accidents and I have been procrastinating. Waiting for him to tell me some how that he is ready to say "bye bye to diapers".
Well, I have finally come to the conclusion today that if I waited for him then he would still be in diapers the day he gets married. Lol.
So I have decided that from tomorrow on anytime he is home he will be in his undies. Unless we go out or if he is in bed.
I do think he will be able to master this pretty quickly.
I want him to go to preschool in September and he has to be potty trained. This puts a lot of pressure and stress on me!
He is a very smart boy and I do think he will get this down pat. I, as his Mommy just need to stick to my guns and do this too!

Easter Day 2009

Well here it is Easter afternoon. I think the Bunny did good this year! Kids seem to be happy with what he left behind.
Hannah was up at 7:01 exactly (her normal waking time). She came into our room to tell us what Justin got in his basket. Didn't even look to see what she got. Funny!
So me and hubby got out of bed to share the morning with the kids! Hannah found every thing in her Easter basket. A coloring book, bunny chalk, a duck bracelet,and artsy flower she can make out of jewels, and tone of chocolates. Hannah is so much like her Dad it is not funny! She shows no enthusiasam at all! Just so very calm but you can tell you likes the things
At this point Justin woke up so he looked in his basket as well! In his there was a Mickey mouse club house coloring book ,a dinky,cars,Diego drinking cups,and eggs chalk as well. Now Justin is like me. He was so excited to see everything! It's funny how two kids in the same family can have such different mannerisms.
Then we did the hunt for the eggs! Hannah had a blast. She did great fining them. The bunny keeps hiding the eggs harder each year. Justin did great to but he needed a bit of help.
Right now the turkey is in the oven. Yummy! I sure hope it turns out well. I have only made a turkey a few times now. And Stacey (my older sister) is usally here or around to help me out. She just called and told me I goofed up. I put the Turkey in without the top on for a half hour at 400 degrees. I was supposed to put it in with the top ON at 425 degrees! I sure hope this will not make a huge difference! I will be so upset. Oh well. I guess we'll see!
With the Turkey we will be having mashed potaoes, carrots, sweet potatoes,and stuffing. All my family loves my Mom home made stuffing and I feel like when I make a turkey supper for my family I have to make her stuffing. It's a lot of work so I though I'd slack and but the boxed kind. It's still good. And of course cranberry sauce! Gotta have that!
Sure hope everyone had a Happy Easter!!!

I need to change my life style!

I am soo darn excited. Robin is coming home from work today with a wii fit! He's getting it from a co worker fro $80.00. I think that is a good deal. It has only been used twice and they are soo hard to find.
I am hopping that having the fit will give me the incentive to get on the band wagon and start loosing weight.
I am finding it harder to do things. I keep having to catch my breath. And my legs hurt if I am on my feet for a period of time.
I know that I need to loose weight! I have been aware of this for awhile now. But it is sooo hard to get into the groove of it. Once I am in that mind frame loosing weight is sooo much easier.
I did loose weight in the past.Not a HUGE amount. But at least I know that I can do it. And I feel proud of myself once I have started.
I know what I have to do and I just have to do it! I want to be around when my kids get married and have kids of their own. I know it will be awhile yet. But I death scarres me! I sooo worry about having a heart attack! I worry about Hubby having one as well and him leaving me. God forbid that EVER happens!
So here is hoping that the WII FIT helps me to get my groove on!!!
I sure need to change my life style!

Daddy's day out!

I made Robin go out with his friend Chris today. I think that it is important for the Dad's to get out as well as us Mom's.
So he is off with his friend right now. And I took it upon myself to suggest to Chris that I will look after their one and only daughter while they are out (Mom---Joy is at work today).
Bronwyn is two. Just a month older than Justin to the day.
So yup here I am on a Saturday afternoon looking after THREE kids under the age of five. Two still in diapers too I remind you.
I really was not sure what to expect once Hubby left. But they are actually being VERY good.
Bronwyn is a very quite girl. An only child says it all! She has barely said two words except for "NO Justin!" Too funny.
Bronwyn will be playing by herself and Justin will come up and try and take the toy that she is playing with out of her hands. Probably normal for a two year old when another little person comes into his house and plays with HIS toys!
But all in all it is a good afternoon. No major mishaps.My fingers are crossed that there is none. I still have probably about one hour or so left with these three Monsters!
I sure hope Hubby is having a great time. As it will be awhile before I let him have a Daddy's time out with out me again! LOL!
And I better get pay back tonight! Heeee!!! :)

I am getting too old!

Robin and I went out Saturday night with some of his ex co workers from Netpro. I was supposed to be the designated driver. Well, that did not happen. Robin seemed ok with it. Maybe a bit disappointed but he was ok once he bought smokes. I owe him for that big time! I drank quite a bit in fact. Ordered a litre of wine at the alehouse and I though that was all I would have. Nope guess again. We had super there then went to Fin Bars (I think it's called) at the Casino. Had another litre plus a glass. AND two tequilla shots. Not good at all! I do not remember leaving! Do not remember walking to the car and I certainly so not remember the drive home. I was past out before Michelle (babysitter) left the house. Poor Robin had to wake me up and tell me to get undressed for bed. What a man he is to put up with me! But I sure did have fun at the beginning of the night. Not the end of the night though!
Luckily I did not get sick but I sure felt awful on Sunday and I think also on Monday and even today too. Hard to tell as I am tired. Could be coming down with something. Not too sure if it's dehydration or sick! Who knows.
All I know is that I am getting too old to do silly things like I did this weekend. It is just not worth it when you have kids. And you have responsabilities! And a VERY carring and loving Husband. Who I love very much!!! :)
But that is for another post (or blog LOL)

I had a great Morning!

I got asked to help out in Hannah's preschool today. Oh my. Was it ever fun. They had free play first thing and it was fun to watch the kids/ Hannah play. Then after that is was a pretty structured morning. We did crafts ,did circle time,sang songs,had a snack and the Teacher even made a treat for the kids today. She made them all a smoothy. Strawberry and Banana smoothy. It was eat healthy week this week. Then we all went to the gym and I got to see how Hannah plays with he best friend Nirah. I was sooo much fun to watch them together. I took Justin with me of course and he was really good. It was the end of the class when he decided to take a tanrum! He just did not want to leave. He screamed ,cried, threw his boots off at least three times. Holy cow! What am I going to do with that kid.
I did feel bad for one little boy. He needed extra attention. He did not know how to use sisscors properly and he did not know how to print his name. I am not sure if he had a learning disability and either did the teacher! The Mom has not said a wrod to the teachers what so ever. I thought this was just odd! Hopefully going to school will help him out. I just felt bad for him and the teacher! I guess each child learns on his own schedule.
SO all in all it was a great morninig! And I sure hope they are short staffed again as I would help out in a heart beat!

We just got back from Walmart. Hannah is going to Nirah's Birthday party on Saturday so we had to go out and get her a gift. Justin is now still asleep in the car. Sigh!
We went to his Just For Two class this am. Man, did he take several temper tantrums! He kicked his boots off and hit the floor. I mean Justin does take his tantrums but nothing like this. SO I picked him up boots off and all and marched him to the car! I was thinking about going to Walmart then but decicied against it. Who wants to take cranky kids shopping? Heck not me!
So we came home,had lunch. I tried to put Justin down for a nap but that did not work. SO I decided to go to Walmart then. Almost $100.00 later!! Shhhh don't tell Hubby!! LOL!
I got myself new undies and new socks ( wow how exciting is that huh?) plus other stuff too. Ewww I got a new strainer with a base on it! Now that IS exciting!! LOL!!! :)
Any how, yes, Justin is still sleeping in the car and I must go make Super now. Sigh! That is another blog for another time (my new cooking skills)

My two life changing goals!

Me and my Hubby went out last night by our selves. It was soo nice. It opened my eyes up to some changes that I need to do for myself.
One of them is to start being nicer to my kids. I need to stop yelling and talk to them. Treat them as human beings with feelings. I just get sooo frustrated when they don't listen to me. I need to stay calm and TALK to them. Not to yell but to talk. Then maybe I would not feel like I was living in a zoo all the time. Maybe my kids will actually start listening to me and they might stop yelling as well.
Second. I need to loose weight. I need to stop eating after 8:oopm. And I need to start to drink more water. Cut back on tea (mmm tea) and maybe my alchol. Don't get me wrong. I really do not drink that much. I might have a glass at night. If that. Nothing major. But still I should be drinking water. I should really be exercising more as well. I am glad that the clocks have moved ahead as it is lighter at night longer now. I can finaly go back to my nightly walks after putting the kids to bed. And I also want to start lifting weights with Robin again.
So yes, those are my two life changing things I need to work on! They will be diffucult as I have been doing both for soo long now. But it will make me a better person for sure! And my kids will be happier too!

Long time since I blogged last!
